Course Syllabus
Course Calendar: AP Literature & Composition
Notes about this schedule: Plans are always subject to change; however, I will not ever change an assignment in a way that gives you less time to complete it. This schedule offers what I call my “best guess” at what I would like to cover, usually given two weeks to a month in advance so that you can manage assignments. You are responsible for making additions and changes that I announce in class. Homework is due the following class, unless otherwise specified. Be aware of specific texts you will need each day, usually indicated by the content. You are responsible for being in class with the proper materials. Please check the night before so that you are prepared to bring the correct text.
An important note about attendance: Each year I teach seniors, I am always asked, “When do you stop taking attendance?” By law, I take attendance EVERY DAY until the LAST DAY of school. Therefore, I encourage you to use your allotted absences WISELY.
